Manel Srinivas Nayak was a stalwart who spearheaded the rapid expansion of Besant Institutions for nearly four decades.
MSNM Besant Institute of PG Management Studies is named after this
great community leader, as a tribute to his contributions to the growth
of Besant Institutions.
A multifaceted personality - a political leader, social worker,
temple trustee, banker and a great educationist – he brought about
transformational development of Women’s National Education Society.
Through his visionary leadership, WNES gave birth to several new
institutions and carried forward the ideals of Dr Annie Besant of
employing education as a tool for emancipation and empowerment.
A successful businessman, he was also a spirited social worker and
community reformer who was deeply inspired by India’s freedom struggle.
He had served as an state legislator (MLA) and also as an office bearer
of numerous temples and social institutions.
